As one of our four Hallmarks, service is an important part of being a Phi Theta Kappan. Besides the service components of our College and Honors In Action projects, Phi Theta Kappa is connected to several service organizations and chapters are encouraged to find additional opportunities for their members to serve.
NMDP (formerly the National Marrow Donorship Program and Be the Match)
NMDP collects genetic material in order to find matching donors for bone marrow and blood stem cell transplants. By registering donors we are increasing the chances that a match for a person with a critical health issue can be found and their lives can be saved.
